BMI Buzz

BMI Buzz turns your mobile device into wellness dashboard that monitors and evaluates your Body Mass Index (BMI). As a measure of body fat using the ratio of weight and height, BMI has been used by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a standard to indicate if a person is underweight, normal, overweight, or obese. Why is this important when you’re working towards a healthier lifestyle?
The ideal proportion of your weight and height is when your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9; below this value, you may be too thin while above this value, you may be too plump.
  • Includes a free Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator
  • Provides free health advice and BMI analysis
  • Supports both metric (kg, m) and imperial units (lb, in)
  • To protect your privacy, all personal data is saved locally on your mobile device

BMR Buzz

BMR Buzz turns your mobile device into wellness dashboard that manages your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). BMR is the amount of calories that your body consumes when it is at rest. Why is this important when you’re working towards a healthier lifestyle?
Diet and exercise programs work great for weight loss and toning; however, equally important is balancing the amount of calories lost via your weight-loss program with your BMR. For example, overdoing aerobics and cardio exercises may cause your body to seek sources of energy by cannibalizing muscle tissues.
The value of your BMR changes depending on your activity level. A person with an active lifestyle (physical activities) would have a higher BMR compared with a person with a sedentary lifestyle. BMR Buzz helps you calculate your BMR more accurately by taking into account your activity level.
Also, BMR Buzz helps you estimate your calorie consumption and lets you know how much time you have to spend on a particular workout to burn those calories.
Using BMR Buzz, you can adjust your weight-loss program to help you achieve your fitness goals and have a healthier lifestyle.
  • Includes a free BMR calculator (with five levels of activities)
  • Estimates calories consumption versus workout duration
  • Supports metric (kg, m) and imperial units (lb, in)
  • Saves your personal data on your mobile device to protect your privacy

WHR Buzz

With WHR Buzz, you turn your mobile device into wellness dashboard that calculates and analyses your Waist-Hip Ratio (WHR). Because most people store body fat around the waist (apple shape) and around the hips (pear shape), the WHR Buzz gives you a measure of your health. Why is this important when you’re working towards a healthier lifestyle?
Health professionals writing in The Lancet medical journal have suggested that apple-shaped people have a greater risk of heart attack than pear-shaped people. Their research, published in 2011, involved taking weight, hip, waist, blood pressure, cholesterol, and other key data from more than 220,000 adults.
WHR Buzz calculates your WHR and categorizes your health risk based on your WHR. By knowing your WHR, you can take steps towards achieving your fitness goal by monitoring your WHR and following tips from WHR Buzz, choosing a well-balanced diet, and doing regular exercise.
  • Includes a WHR calculator
  • Analyses your health risk category based on your WHR
  • Supports metric (centimeters) and imperial units (inches)
  • Provides health tips to guide you towards a healthier WHR
  • Saves your personal data on your mobile device to protect your privacy

2. Is Harries Benedict Equation accurate for muscular person?
The only factor omitted by the Harries Benedict Equation is lean body mass. Remember, leaner bodies need more calories than less leaner ones.
